Love Conquers All (Illustrated)
by Robert C. Benchley
"It took me fifteen years to discover that I had no talent for writing, but I couldn't give it up because by then I was too famous."
- Robert Benchley
“Benchley was kinder than Dorothy Parker, less manic than S.J. Perlman, not quite so curmudgeonly as James Thurber – and arguably the funniest of them all … one of the century’s great comic geniuses.”
- Alix Wilber
This is the second of fifteen collections of Robert Benchley's humorous essays and book reviews. Benchley's rapier-sharp wit will amuse and entertain you. This volume contains 63 gems from his early work, when his style was approaching its peak. Each of these pieces are newly illustrated with the funny drawings of Ron Leishman and other cartoonists.
