Twice Caught

Twice Caught

by Larry Presby

“Whether you survived your own adolescence or are still living through it, you'll recognize these two brothers as they struggle through their mistakes, all the way to an unforeseen ending. From mature and caring neighbors, they learn what it means to lie, to steal, to be forgiven and ultimately trusted. But it doesn't come easy.”
- teresa taylor, Family Matters

Two boys abandoned by their parents, older brother Kurt is forced to become father, mother and brother. Like it or not, he will be the parent of fourteen-year-old Logan. However, at twenty-three, Kurt is frustrated and angry. He pulls his brother into a risky plan. They will steal a valuable painting from a retired couple, sell it, and get out of their dreary northern town. To sunshine and freedom. They are caught red-handed. The victim couple must decide — save or destroy. Harry, a farmer, and Lillian, a retired teacher, choose to save. The brothers must work off the crime around the family’s farm — and in the process learn about life.
