An Evil Number
by Robert Coburn
A Jack Hunter Mystery #4
Reviewers describe the Jack Hunter Mystery Series:
“This was a fun, well-crafted story...I love getting to know a main character better in new circumstances. (Key West is itself becoming a character in this series, which is fun for me because I hope to visit there someday soon.) Our “hero,” Jack Hunter, finds himself in the company of old friends, and new adversaries. This offers some laugh out loud moments and plenty of suspense.”
- Monica De Vargas, The Typing Room
“A fun, easy read... similar to Robert Parker's style. Twists and turns and if you know Key West, you will recognize the streets and locales.”
- VA Gator
Jack Hunter returns to Los Angeles, heartsore and his soul damaged, after unveiling a monstrous crime in Key West. Moving back into his beach house, he hoped to find solace. But trouble – always a companion – has other ideas. Unwittingly, he once again comes face to face with true evil in the form of a Satanist group. An old dream quickly turns into a living nightmare of murder. LAPD Detective Laura Dalton teams with Los Angeles Sheriffs Detective Emilio Zaragoza to put together the pieces of a horrific puzzle with no picture to guide them. Jack takes matters into his own hands. Only to risk having his number come up in an explosive ending.
