Dorian Greyhound - A Dog's Tale
by Sheryl Longin
"If your book club is looking for a follow-up to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, this is the book I read every page with a smile on my face, then cried at the end. Now I can’t wait to read it again. " —Catherine Johnson; Co-author Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior
Straight from the canine's mouth comes this truly Wilde narrative of the life and times of Dorian Greyhound. From his lowly origins and brutish upbringing to his well-deserved position as cherished family member, this self-made dog marks a lot of territory, though he would blush (if he could) to admit it. With a dry wit and as much candor as his old-school manners allow, he recounts his physically and emotionally harrowing journey from an Arizona race track to his Hollywood Hills mansion. His tale has something to offer us all.
Screenwriter Sheryl Longin's credits include the feature films Dick, starring Kirsten Dunst, and Prague Duet, which she also produced. Prior to her screenwriting career, she was a print journalist who wrote regularly for Vanity Fair magazine. Her work has also appeared in Premiere, Interview and other publications. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, novelist/screenwriter Roger L. Simon, their daughter Madeleine and their dog, Zane Greyhound. Dorian Greyhound is her first book.
