Media Murder Mystery Series #2

“Entertaining as all get out…”
- Byron McCafferty. Online Critics Corner

“Remember, someone wants her dead, and they aren’t going to stop. Have you thought about that? That means you could be in danger.”
“I’m a combat vet with a nine-millimeter and a temper. Trust me, I’m not the one in danger.”

Terry Lambert is a dwarf who works as editor for a major newspaper. Paula Stanford is a former Marine Corps military police officer and a combat veteran. Together, they make a most unusual crime-fighting duo as they tackle their second case in the Media Murder Mystery Series. Here you will meet Liz, the 14-year-old daughter of a Marine killed in Iraq while serving with Paula. Liz shows up at two in morning, banging on Paula’s apartment door, pleading for help in finding her birth mother. Liz’s only lead is a newspaper photo of a woman in a dog show. Paula seeks the assistance of her friend Terry, editor of the newspaper that published the photo. Unknown to Paula and Terry, Liz is a person of interest in a homicide investigation as well as subject of a manhunt by her aunt and uncle who want to retrieve a package from her before she can turn it over to the police. When Liz disappears, Paula begins to search for the runaway, bringing her into a deadly game as Liz continues her search for her birth mother while eluding her loving aunt and uncle who will kill her if they don’t get what they want.
