2020: A Pandemic Novel

“I had to pause to get my breath after reading this fast-paced thriller by Ian Grace. Not exactly Covid-19, but here we get a behind-the-scenes race by the World Health Organization to trace down the antidote for a virus created by the Nazis that gets loose in 2020. Close enough to reality to make you sweat!”
-Barthélemy Banks, Mumm’s Curse

This fast-paced dystopian novel starts with a man-made virus called TD1. Created toward the end of the Second World War by the Nazis, it was to be used against the Allied Forces at a point when Germany was losing the war. However, the mission to unleash the virus by a German U boat failed. Then in 2019 the virus resurfaces and takes over the world, bringing mankind to the brink of annihilation in early 2020. Jack Mercer, an independent international investigator hired by the World Health Organization, races to find the rumored antidote to the virus and save the world. But it means digging up old secrets.

Ian Grace was born in Zambia in 1967 and grew up in Rhodesia and Zimbabwe. He has travelled extensively, having lived in various countries in Africa and also Australia and Europe. Ian currently lives on the Isle of Man.
