Atlantis Rises: What We Know of Atlantis and Lost Lemuria
by W. Scott - Elliot
“I’ve always been fascinated by the legend of Atlantis. It has permeated our literature and pop culture. This seminal examination of the myth by William Scott-Elliot is actually two-books-in-one, a historic document that every Atlantis hunter will find fascinating.”
- George Davidson, Zoo in a Book
How do you lose an entire continent? How do you lose two continents, one in the Atlantic, the other in the Pacific? This classic tome tells you about both Atlantis and Lemuria, ancient civilizations that exist only as legends. Plato wrote about a world “beyond the Pillars of Hercules” where there lived a confederation of kings, of great and marvelous power …” Theosophist William Scott-Elliot looks beyond the myth and attempts to unravel the history and examine the people of these two continents that were swallowed by the oceans. Believe or not, this account will fascinate and entertain those looking for theories about these fabled lands.
